After 8 gigs and plenty of travelling, I’m now over half way on my first ever solo tour.
It has been a hectic couple of weeks but so far it has been an amazing experience. As well as playing at some wonderful venues, I’ve been lucky enough to perform alongside some other amazing musicians and have met some lovely people.
I’ve been overwhelmed by the warmth with which I have been received by strangers and friends alike. I have received great feedback and I am so pleased so many of you have been interested in my debut EP and my performances.
Week 2
After kicking off the tour in Cambridge and Ipswich, week two began on Monday 29 September at The Horns in Watford. It is a fabulous venue with a very attentive audience. Also on the bill were Emma Wilson and Polkabilly Circus, who were both fabulous.
After a day off on Tuesday, I had five gigs in quick succession starting at The Shipp Inn in Brandon Creek, followed by The Asylum in Chelmsford, The White Horse in Sudbury and The Half Moon in Bishop’s Stortford.
The week ended perfectly with a lovely gig at The Victoria in Hitchin. It was great to see so many people interested in live music on a Sunday evening.
Part 2
Now into the second half of my tour, I still have another seven dates to go before the end. So there are still plenty of opportunities to come and see me perform some live looping, put your name down for a free CD and pick up some official limited edition merchandise.
The remaining dates are:
- Thurs 9 Oct – The Bull, Colchester
- Fri 10 Oct – Floods, St. Ives
- Sat 11 Oct – Esquires, Bedford
- Mon 13 Oct – The Boathouse, Cambridge
- Thurs 16 Oct – The Shed, Leicester
- Sun 19 Oct – The Seven Stars, Bristol
- Thurs 23 Oct – The Solstice, Peterborough
Hope to see you if I haven’t already!
I am learning so much as I go and I hope my performances are improving with every date. So much of this is down to the feedback I have received so thank you for your support.
