23946509762_f88c4a41cf_oI was really delighted to play again at this years’ R*E*P*E*A*T (anti) Christmas Party which took place at The Portland Arms in Cambridge, especially given the very inspiring theme – Guilty Pleasures.

All the artists had fun playing around with that idea and we heard some really interesting renditions of songs normally consigned to the ’embarrassment pile’ (although one persons’ guilty pleasure is another’s favourite song).

My personal highlights were the renditions of Fat Bottomed Girls by Foxy (Poxy) Ramone, A Million Love Songs by The Horse and His Boy, Sweet Child O’ Mine by Karmadillo and The Lion Sleeps Tonight (The Rosey Writes Tonight) by Dom Punk!

I played my (slightly noisier than the original) version of 2 Become 1, as well as a mash up of songs from my early 90s cassette collection (which I still own), including: Mona, Hangin’ Tough, Ice Ice Baby and TURTLE Power. I hope that gives you an insight into my musical education!

There was a great turn out on the evening and an amazing atmosphere. £160 was also raised for Love Music Hate Racism so good work all round Cambridge.

You can check out some great pics of the gig taken by the wonderful Richard Rose here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/roseyrepeat/sets/72157662369140210/with/23426442854/
